RULES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PHOTOGTAPHY COMPETITION
Participants must be over 18 years old. Contestants may be authors living in any country. Russian and foreign authors have equal rights.

FORMS OF PARTICIPATION:
Two forms of participation are provided: IN PERSON and IN ABSENTIA.
All applications for the competition program are exhibited in the Gostiny Dvor and are open to a wide audience of visitors. In absentia works are exhibited in the form of photocopies, in an art book (the organizing committee independently prints the sent files and places it in the general exposition). In person and In absentia works are evaluated by the jury members and have equal rights.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Technical characteristics of the submitted competitive works:
a) in person participation: the size of the canvas is up to 3 meters on the larger side (if the work is more than 100 cm, then the cost of participation is recalculated in proportion to the occupied area);
b) in absentia participation: a file of at least 200 dpi, up to 15 Mb
2) An author (a group of co-authors) can submit any number of art objects in any nomination, and each art object (single or series - up to 3 objects) will be evaluated as an independent work;
3) Registration of competitive works:
a) All works must be provided with a description label (7x3 cm label, in the lower right corner, on the front side). The label includes: a) first name, last name of the author (co-authors) b) city c) artwork title d) nomination e)creation technique e) dimensions g) year of creation.
b) For in person participants: each competitive work must have fasteners / hooks for hanging on a vertical panel or fastenings preventing the obstruction of the object.
c) For in absentia participants: entries are submitted to the organizing committee in the form of photographs (at least 10 * 15 cm) or files in the .jpeg or .tiff format; not less than 200 dpi, not more than 15 Mb.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION:
a) application form (download in Word, PDF)
b) labels for each competition entry (download in Word, PDF);
c) a photograph of the author with a size of at least 3x4 cm;
d) photographs of competitive works (not less than 200 dpi, not more than 15 Mb);
e) a copy of the registration fee payment (go to the "Participation fee" section)

EXPERT COUNCIL / JURY:
All applications for the competitive program of work (full-time and part-time) are open to a wide audience of visitors and are evaluated by an expert council (jury). To evaluate the entries, the Organizing Committee forms a jury (national and international). The national jury evaluates the works in the exposition, the foreign jury participates in the evaluation of the competitive works in two ways - in person and in absentia. The jury is composed of reputable representatives of the art world, the media, art historians, dealers and heads of art galleries.

PROFESSIONAL CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPANTS:
1) Category “Professional”: authors who have been working in the field of art professionally for more than 1 year and have a special art education;
2) Category “Member of the Union of Artists”: authors - members of creative unions and associations;
3) Category “Amateur”: authors who do not have a special art education, create work as a hobby, for personal self-realization;
4) Category “Student”: students of specialized art higher educational institutions and students of secondary schools, as well as graduates (up to 1 year);
The indicated categories are evaluated separately by the Expert Council.
